TVS Phoenix


TVS PhoenixAfter the previous 125cc offering by TVS, Flame 125 failed to impress the Indian crowd, the company launched replaced it with Phoenix 125 to strengthen its position in the Indian motorcycle market. Phoenix was successful in completing its task and that showed improved sales of the company. The motorcycle comes equipped with a 124.53cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power output of 10.9 bhp at 8,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 10.8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. This mileage is assisted by a fuel storage capacity of 12 liters.

The bike moves on 2.75 x 17 front and 90/90 x 17 rear tubeless tyres wrapped on black colored alloy wheels. The front end of the motorcycle gets gas charged shock absorbers (Monotube Inverted Gas-MIG) riding. The stopping power is provided by 130mm drum brakes that are fitted at both wheels. TVS also offers an optional 240mm front disc brake for a more responsive and powerful braking.

The front fascia of Phoenix has a sharp headlamp integrated with twin pilot lamps that look good in the dark. A neatly designed fuel tank and a long well-cushioned seat offers comfort to both rider and the pillion. The rear end of the bike gets a stylish tail lamp unit with a body colored grab rail. The overall body dimensions of the machine are 1,985mm x 740mm x 1,065mm (L x W x H) and it has a wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 1,265mm and 165mm respectively.  fuel gauge, odometer and trip meter with low battery and service reminder indicators. Other special features include a vehicle locator key and hazard lamps that prove helpful in adverse conditions
